About the Military Order of the World Wars

The Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) was founded by General John J. “Black Jack” Pershing in 1919 to foster community service, patriotic education, and to honor the service and sacrifices of United States Military Service Members. The Motto of the Order is: “It is nobler to serve than to be served.”

MOWW Chapter activities include an Annual Youth Leadership Conference, support for high school JROTC Units, special awards to deserving JROTC Cadets, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts, and recognition of outstanding Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders.
